Reader Reviews:Emotional rollercoaster (0/0 people found this helpful)What a fantastic book, I gave a copy to my daughter and one to my sister who were both enthralled by Netties journey.
With thanks to my sister..... (1/1 people found this helpful)I thank my sister, Jackie, for introducing me to the author of this book, Nettie. The book gives a compelling insight into Nettie's life and provides, I believe, feelings and emotions which can't fail to touch each and every one of us in many ways. I couldn't put this book down, a MUST read. No doubt her Spanish experiences would provide such a sensitive and literate author with an opportunity to embark on another journey for us. Can't wait! grand high. (1/1 people found this helpful)mum you finally did it! its not a script for eastenders like you always said but something far more deep and real, i read through the book and still get taken back by how much one person has been put through on one life journey. I've been on a lot of this journey with you along with my sister and brother and i feel so proud you can show the world that people can still stand strong and beautiful. I have to agree with my sister and say that its let a few demons of my own be put to rest. Mum you're so unconditionally supportive and i will do nothing bt the same for you, i'm so so proud of you. love always, star xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx The Raw Path (1/1 people found this helpful)
Proud of you (0/0 people found this helpful)When Nettie mentoned to me that she was putting her poetry into a book I hoped it would help to fulfill her dreams of having a book published. I had only ever read the odd one or two of Netties works prior to publication and was very sceptical and a little scared as to how they would be recieved, I know most of what she has been through in her life, her marraige, her relationships, her beautiful children, our mothers death and much more, but even as close as we are as sisters there where things in the poems that she never told me about, and it saddened me to find out how deep she had buried things.
