Reader Reviews:Excellent tips for all players. (9/9 people found this helpful)This is a fine chess openings book. The Scotch is an old friend of mine having played it after World Champion Garry Kasparov used it to win. The target audience seems to be people who have yet to discover the opening but there is plenty of interest for experienced players. Gary Lane is an inspirational guide and I put the book book down at the end knowing I would win my next game.Tactics and basic traps are especially well covered. It has to be 5 stars.
