Reader Reviews:

5/5 stars

Excellent review (3/4 people found this helpful)

The scotch game is a fantastic opening with many tactical surprises. It is very dangerous for black not be be prepared and Kasparov killed a lot of people with this opening. John Emms reviews the most important lines and the typical ideas. This book is excellent for <2000 ELO, and it covers all possible pawn structures and deviations.
