A fantastic collection of speeches from the 1790's of Pitt the Younger during his most secure years in power. Speeches include the budget speeches of 1793 and 1796, the declaration of war on France in 1793, speeches on the abolition of the slave trade and Parliamentary reform. Also contains speeches on the subjects of the suspension of habeus corpus 1794 and one on the subject of Mr Whitbread's bill for regulating workers wages. A wonderful collection, useful for all those with an interest in Pitt the Younger as a Prime minister and an orator. A vague understanding of Latin helps!
