My daughter is 4 and absolutly loved this book the moment it arrived. I admit I was doubtful as my first impression was that there were too many words but even though some of the stories are relatively long, they are lovely to read and easy to follow. The illustrations are delightful and include the sort of minute detail that children love. Big Ghost and Little Ghost who introduce each story is a great touch. As my daughter asked for story after story, (we got through at least 10 in one day!), it reminded me to cherish this fantastic time when imagination is everything and sitting down together and enjoying a story is such a pleasure.

Ok, so my 10 month old son doesn't yet appreaciate this book , but I love it and am looking forward to reading it again when he's older. The stories are all really nice - and just the right length for a pre-nap tale and the illustrations are fab - lots of detail to pour over and keep an older child / parent fascinated. The only downside is that there's supposed to be one story for every week of the year, but it was a Christmas present and we've finished it by April!
