Absolutely fantastic.....this is Martina at her best. Characters are fantastic, story line is gripping, exciting and shocking. I wish you could still write like this Martina, I really do.

Recieved this item was in really really bad condition and it was apparently "new"
the front cover had marks all over it, the pages had black marks on it, the hardback had holes in it.

Well, I like a good gangster story, so thought I'd enjoy this tale of cockney cousins-in-crime. Oh, no. What a terrible, terrible book. As with other ridiculously successful authors, Cole's editor seems afraid of her, and as such, this book comes in about 200 pages too long. So repetitive. And after all those endless pages of cockney guff, it just finishes, with many things left unexplained. Seriously disappointing, but if it's any consolation, the TV series (I've managed 2 of the 4 episodes so far) is much, much worse.

This is the first Martine Cole book I have read and will probably be the last. I found this book boring and repetitive. Ms Cole must think her readers have the attention span of a goldfish, she repeated the same details several times over two pages, and then again throughout the book. How many times did we need to be told that Jackie was a dirty slob, etc etc! I couldn't have cared less about her characters.
