didn't realise it covered the crucifiction of Jesus (13/18 people found this helpful)

I didn't really think the crucifiction is suitable subject matter for an infants board book. I didn't realise it was such a Christian story and imagined from other peoples postings that it would be a traditional moral, feel-good-about-your-talents sort of tale. I don't feel able to share this with my child.

The Tale of Three Trees (6/8 people found this helpful)

The story is so simple but so effective and very moving. I would recommend this to people of any ages - my daughter, who is 7, fully understood it's content. I thought the illustrations were lovely too.

An enchanting tale that will last a life-time. (23/24 people found this helpful)

This touching story about three trees who had great aspirations in life, but for whom God had other plans, is a delightful tale for anyone of any age. The new edition, with its beautiful illustrations and smaller cardboard pages, is ideal for the younger reader to enjoy and treasure. I first came across this story two years ago, when it was acted out by a group of six year olds in the primary school where I was teaching, and I found it really moving. Since then, it has been loved and appreciated by many other children I have taught. It has also made the perfect christening present for my niece, something that I know will be cherished forever. As the author notes, this tale has been handed down from generation to generation and its originator is unknown. To this person, I am also deeply grateful.

I read this book and wept, tears of joy (6/9 people found this helpful)

when I read this to my eight year old at bed time I got toward the end and found myself crying, it sums up beautifully what its all about. read it yourself and have the kleenex standing by!

EXCELLENT (6/8 people found this helpful)

This is one of my favourite books ever. It is a very moving story and should be read by both adults and children alike! I've read it again and again and it still holds enjoyment for me!
