It is a must for all lovers of the portly, claret-swilling Old Bailey hack. There is a splendid break from the norm with Hilda's Story, a tale told by She Who Must Be Obeyed of her feelings on Rumpole and how she won a case for him. Otherwise it is more of the same and with Rumpole that is praise enough. Read, enjoy and savour.
