As a Skoda enthousiast (owner of three rear engined Skodas) and history correspondent with a major car magazine I enjoyed very much this book. Knowing the subject I am very critical and this book covers every aspect of the history of Skoda. From the men who started it and the first products (bicycles and motorcycles)to cars. The book also contains - to my surprise - prototypes never mass produced, racing cars and even a lot of commercial vehicles from Skoda. The writer has managed to blend the history of this particular make with background information from the various periods, helping the reader to understand also the environment where Skoda was operating. There are more photographs than expected in a book of this size. I really would give it five stars if it contained some color photographs as well.
