Reader Reviews:Wonderful for all ages (1/1 people found this helpful)I agree that this book could easily be damaged by young hands so we make these books "special" and our son (15 months) knows that he has to read them with us. He absolutely loves the stories, pcitures and pop up movement. I get very animated reading them to him which is probably another reason why he loves them so much. I want to get him the whole set! Lovely book (16/16 people found this helpful)This book is lovely, as stated before, but it is really not suitable for young children. The back of the book states it is not for under 3 year olds and while this may be too cautious the pop-ups are too delicate for over-active little hands
EXCELLENT AND GREAT FUN (51/51 people found this helpful)I was given this book as a present for my two little 9 month twins and i couldnt believe my eyes how great it was. If you have children and you are looking for a book, I highly recommend it. The thing I like best about this book is that it's great for younger children too as the colours are so bright that it catches their interest straight away. the illustrations are great and there are little cute rhymes in there such as : Bee is buzzing busily, His friend is buzzing too, But when they sniff the flowers, it makes them sneeze... Atchooo! - But the absolute BEST thing about this book is the huge intricate bright pop ups. There are flowers and bees, ants holding leaves above their heads, wriggly earth worms that come up so high in their heart shaped pop up that they come above the height of the book, a very cool dragonfly, a snail whose head slides in and out of the shell, grasshoppers jumping around, dung beetles and a very very cool caterpillar. I highly recommend it. Fantastic (15/17 people found this helpful)Jack Tickle produces pop up books to enthrall children and adults alike. As a teacher, I have found older children enjoy his books (supposedly looking at the structure - but really the colour and the humour of the words/poems). Children between the ages of 5 and 11 have all liked these books although aimed more for younger children to keep. Another fantastic book by Jack Tickle.
