Reader Reviews:Classics are truely the best to read anytime, anywhere! (6/6 people found this helpful)Lady Morgan tells a story of troubled yound man who gets banishment from his homeland. His father, and english lord, sends him off to Ireland to live in his estate there. His percection of Ireland is not the best. Get this book and discover the things he learns about what his own homeland did to the people he comes to love. Lady Morgon wrote this book in a series of letters .. from one person to the other. She documents a lot of her writing as footnotes to help you better understand the meaning of irish words and phrases she has wrote. Although some may feel this is a nuisance, I find that is most helpful in learning about irish culture through her eyes. I had a hard time putting the book down because I wanted to know more and more! Excellent book :) Similar ProductsIrish Writing: An Anthology of Irish Literature in English 1789-1939 (Oxford World's Classics) Faust: Part 2 Nightmare Abbey & Crotchet Castle (Penguin Classics) Faust: Pt.1 (Oxford World's Classics) Castle Rackrent and Ennui (Penguin Classics) CategoriesAmazon.co.uk places this book into the following categories:
