My two year old boy loves this book, and has done for almost a year. The concept is simple but he never tires of it. It is not just for boys either as I originally bought this for my daugter when she was about 1 and a half. I will say it looked better when she had done with it than it does now though...but maybe that is just boys for you!
If you like this book look at 'Postman Pat Hide and Seek with Jess', in a similar vein, and perhaps even better as it is good for teaching animal noises.

Our 1 yr old ADORES this book - very bright easy to see pictures and decent large flaps. Sometimes they do get bent though but as it is on its second outing with boys it is standing up well to punishment.
A very good first book for babies with an introduction to flaps. All I'd say as a minor criticism is that the flaps do not consistantly open the same way so once the baby has got used to opening 2 of them the flap shape opening does change. However a minor item and after a few reads no problems.
Our 3 yr old still enjoys it too and asks all the right questions about how the leaves got on the line... (so text can be easily enhanced!)

My son borrowed this book from Pre-School and took it to bed with him for the week that he had it - everywhere he went so did the book! I am now ordering it, so that we can read it together some more.
He loved how it was interactive, for example the pile of leaves lifts up to reveal Gordon underneath, it also taught him the words for the weather, something I had been trying to teach and failing! So I thoroughly recommend it for all of the above reasons. It is a bright and colourful fun book whilst remaining educative.
