Reader Reviews:Everyone should read this! (0/0 people found this helpful)An absolutely inspiring book. Greg Mortenson is a hero. It really made me realise that education could well be the answer in the help to combat terrorism. Pure inspiration (0/0 people found this helpful)This book brought tears to my eyes so often that it became embarassing in front of my wife and children. After I read it I got my 11 year old son to read it with me as well. He claimed it the second best book after Great expectations. Its just full of such humanity and makes so much sense in this topsy turvy world that it ought to be a compulsory reading all over but particularly in Pakistan. I hope Greg organises to have it translated and sell the urdu version in Pakistan. A landmark book showing how education and development brings progress, (0/0 people found this helpful)Three cups of tea is perhaps one of the best humanitarian and development related books I've read recently. Greg Mortenson eloquently tells his ordeal of bringing a glimmer of hope into remote areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan. He shows how when girls and women are empowered, they take their future and destiny in their hands.
A book everyone must read.... (0/0 people found this helpful)I was unsure of a non fiction book for holiday reading -but this book has everything humour joy and tension - it has been read and enjoyed by three members of my family and is still being passed on.......... Three Cups of Tea (0/0 people found this helpful)The most wonderful book I've ever read. I would like to repeat Mrs. Scarrott's review. If you only read one book in your lifetime let it be this one. This book has really taught me what it means to be a humanitarian. There are so few people in the world like Greg Mortenson and I hope his story will inspire more to follow his lead. Please read this book and understand a little more about these inoffensive people who desperately need to be educated and supported.
