This guide was concise, easy to read and as up to date as you can possibly get. Because it's a short list you get the very best of what there is to see and do in Amsterdam. The guide is split into the different areas of Amsterdam and then split again into six further sections for each area, the most relevant being Nightlife, Eating and Drinking and Arts and Leisure.
Because Amsterdam is a relatively small city (most places are within half an hours walking distance), it is surprising how much can be seen and done (and indeed how diverse and rich it's culture is). But there is an extensive network of Tram ways and in the back of the book there is a fold out map of the city central and the tram service.
Timeout Shortlist Amsterdam really has everything you need from a guide book and is small enough to carry around with you whenever and wherever. The different sections make it a lot easier to read than more extensive guides and because it's up to date, you know that you are getting the best and most comprehensive information.
