Reader Reviews:Salient... (2/2 people found this helpful)Whatever political affiliation you may hold this book will provide an interesting insight into Tony Blair's life. No stone is left unturned by Rentoul in this book and is certainly not biased in any way shape or form which could have detracted from the experience. Of particular saliency to the research reader is the formation of Blair's early political ideology. For the casual reader Blair's background and foreground will provide interesting insights into the Prime Minister's life. I would recommend buying this book to anybody interested in politics as it's critical appreciation of Tony Blair's life will provide fascinating reading. However, for those not politically informed I would recommend O'Farrel's "Things can only get better" - another great insight into the life of a Labour man, and a great contrast to the serious nature of Rentoul's "Tony Blair".
