The catchiest biblical musical for schools since Joseph.... (10/11 people found this helpful)
Having had children perform this at school, I can vouch for it containing some of the best songs you'll have heard in a school musical. The strong lyrics, humour and thoughtful plot make it suitable for junior school or older. Young Mary has potential single-parent status, smug angels are shocked at the thought of a low-born child about to be important in heaven and Joseph is wondering how to cope with life not being as straightforward as he hoped. An advantage of such strong music and rhythms is that whilst it works on a small scale, it can work equally well when large numbers of children are involved. The children will be singing the tunes ages after Christmas is over..........
