Reader Reviews:Real life account of christian suffering under communism. (15/15 people found this helpful)Richard Wurmbrand was a Romanian Jew who discovered Jesus was Messiah. He became a christian pastor and suffered under the Nazis. However this suffering was nothing to be compared to what was to come under communism. Thrown into jail (totalling 14 years) he endured unspeakable tortures and depravation but given grace from God he amazingly endured and was released with pressure and ransom money from Norway. This book is an essential read for all people, Christian and otherwise both to show the depths of evil to which man can descend but also the keeping power of God to those who put their trust in Jesus Christ. Richard Wurmbrand still had love for his torturers knowing that any sinner can come to repentance.
