This is an excellent book,I use it as an important guide before teaching ward rounds to surgical SHO'S.

This book is no doubt quite comprehensive in its coverage of the viva. However, there are some quite alarming mistakes in some of the sample answers given. Considering the qualifications of the authors, I find it quite disappointing.
Overall, it is a good book to get an idea of the viva questions (especially the anatomy questions)but do not take all the answers to be correct, always cross reference it with other texts.

This book is an excellent aid for the viva exam. It is my favourite book - The author has put in a lot of effort to make sure the topics covered are relevant. The sample answers contain a lot of details with explainations, so it is really handy, as there is usually no need to check the facts with a reference text to understand what the author is trying to say. However it is quite a thick book with small fonts so it might be better to start with a simpler viva book first.
--- The communication skills section is undoubtedly very helpful and you won't believe how much it helped me at the communication skills station at the clinical section of part3 MRCS Intercollegiate. You know exactly (almost) what to say to the actor at the communication station with full confidence!! Highly recommended....

This is an excellent book. I have just passed MRCS and in retrospect think that of all the books I bought this was the most useful. Everything I was asked in the viva is covered here. It is clearly written, concise but comprehensive.

This is a well written, comprehensive text that I wouldn't hesitate in recommending. This book is not only useful in exam preparation, but is an education for all young doctors and surgeons wishing to consolidate their knowledge base and enhance their communication skills. Well done to the authors.
