Further Extracts from the Collected Works (1/1 people found this helpful)

I can't say I found this as good as No Rusty Swords but it still holds some gems. Like No Rusty Swords, it is a collection of various notes, lectures and letters from Bonhoeffer's life. This period is from the mid 1930's up until the outbreak of war, and it is interesting to see the church struggle increase through this period. Bonhoeffer's personal struggle with his position in Germany and America is well documented with letters. Unlike many theological books this one is very readable, so is fine for even a casual reader.
