If you are spending any time in Goa and plan to spend time away from the beaches then this is the book for you. Maurice Hall spent 15 years researching the book over many trips. This book covers Buddhist caves, Hindu temples, and old castles tucked away on the Goa border. Books like the Lonely Planet just don't cover Goa in such a detailed and informed way.This mans passion for Goan history jumps off the page all through the book. Very well presented and worth the money. Was a bestseller in Goa for a long time.
