..over the years, the wrecker`s books have become an invaluable source of fact to aid me in my reserach. Pete does not re-churn out other peoples work, but actually does his own footwork - gets out to the sites personally.Too much today is armchair research. His style is totally involving and brings all the historical events down to a human and individual level. 100% recommend! Accurate, factual information is presented in an absorbing way that creates mental images in the imagination of the reader.

I would like to add some comments concerning both the books by Mr. Peter Mitchell and the videos he is now producing. I have been a "Sports Diver" for nearly 25 years and I regularly dive the areas and wrecks as featured in "The Wreckers Guide to South-West Devon, parts 1 & 2" and also in the places shown on his videoes, that to some extent, complement the books. They first came to my notice whilst I was involved in some research some time ago and, since then, they have formed an integral part of my modest library. In many instances they have been a prime source of information as well as being a very interesting read in their own right. His videoes are also informative and entertaining and do not suffer from the all too common failure, of what is unfairly termed a "Niche market subject", of having the divers in shot constantly grinning or waving at the camera. I keep a constant eye open for any of his products as I feel that satisfaction will always be guaranteed and I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending any of them to your customers!.
