Reader Reviews:Engaging and Informative (5/5 people found this helpful)What Steve Wetton has acheived in his book is remarkable. It's rare to find a book on creative writing that connects you to its author in such a way. Reading through the book made me feel like I was being taken under Mr Wetton's wing such was the warmth of his honest and intelligent narrative. The meat of the book is to "write a 30 minute calling card in 10 weeks". That's certainly possible given the logically structured chapters and exercises. I particularly apprecciated the exercises, which certainly gave my writing a kickstart, and the useful step by step guide stating the author's preferred method of getting from the initial story's premise to the final draft. It's hard to find a better book designed for the fledgling television writer. It really is that good. Wrong synopsis (8/12 people found this helpful)I think you have the wrong synopsis. This book is about writing TV Scripts, not academic essays.
