Now that the Zend certification has been updated to cover PHP5 there is no reason to buy this book. Instead buy the Zend PHP 5 Certification Guide.
This book should be removed from sale and then idiots like me would not buy it by mistake.

Very good content, lots of nice test questions, however, far too many errors. You really need to get the errata from the publisher's site otherwise you'll be wondering why on earth an answer is B instead of A when it's just a mistake. Hopefully all will be corrected in a later edition.
In general the tone of the Zend certification involves very close attention to detail and syntax rather than very broad knowledge of PHP.

If you are considering the Zend PHP Certification, the only certification currently available for PHP, then this book will give you an idea of the areas you should really be familiar with. If on the other hand you consider yourself a real PHP guru then you probably don't need it. It comes with sample questions and also gives you an idea of how the actual exam works so you know what to expect at the testing centre.
One thing I was glad that it covered was what the exam expects you to know about other technologies used in conjunction with PHP. Do not however expect all the answers to be found in this book, it's not meant to be a definitive guide. I used O'Reilly's PHP Programming as an additional resource and found I was prepared sufficiently.
Considering the cost of taking certification exams it is worth buying to ensure you don't end up resitting.
